National Conventions
In even-numbered years, the AGO hosts a national convention. The five-day events include concerts and recitals by internationally-acclaimed performers, national competitions for young organists and improvisation, world premieres of commissioned compositions, workshops and breakout sessions, networking and social events, and training for chapter and national leaders.

Regional Conventions
In odd-numbered years, the AGO traditionally hosts smaller, regional conventions. This format allows attendees to learn, network, and enjoy performances in a more intimate setting than National Conventions. In 2025, there were two events: AGO Phoenix and AGO Fort Worth.
