Who We Are

The American Guild of Organists – Milwaukee Chapter was chartered 105 years ago on May 5, 1919. The Chapter serves and supports the professional activities of organists, choral directors, church musicians, and music educators in Milwaukee and Southeastern Wisconsin. Our Members include organists, choir directors, organ builders, technicians, clergy, students, and those who appreciate organ and sacred music.

The Chapter is open to organists and pianists of all levels of playing proficiency. Members especially appreciate the participation of persons who enjoy listening to and supporting organ and choral music concerts.

AGO Milwaukee Chapter History

The Milwaukee Chapter AGO was organized May 5, 1919. The first Dean was Dr. Charles H. Mills and since 1919, forty-two persons have served consecutively in this office. The Milwaukee Chapter AGO has over 300 members and is one of 350 Chapters nationwide that comprises the American Guild of Organists.
