In celebration of the 125th anniversary of First Christian Reformed Church in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, an Organ & Hymn Festival is planned for Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. Guest organist is
Nathan LeMahieu
, a native of Sheboygan, who holds a Master of Divinity degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and the Master of Sacred Music from Notre Dame, where he served as an Organ Scholar at the University's Basilica of the Sacred Heart. He is also a graduate of Northwestern University with degrees in both organ performance and political science. He has studied with American organists Craig Cramer, Margaret Kemper, and Douglas Clevelnad and also with Michael Radulescu and Ullrich Bohme at the Hochschule fur Musik und Theatre Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy in Leipzig, Germany. Nathan has performed in recitals and master classes throughout several states as well as in Germany and the Netherlands. He has been the recipient of numerous awards and fellowships such as the Undergraduate Award of the North Shore Chapter of the American Guild of Organists, the Immanuel Lutheran Organ Prize, and the E. Power Biggs Fellowship of the Organ Historical Society.
Nathan will perform works of Louis Verne, Jan Pieterzoon Sweelinck, Ralph Vaugh Williams, J.S. Bach, and Alexandre Guilmant on the 2 manual Austin organ installed in 1989 as part of the church's Centennial celebration.
