The Beatitudes
Living Christ's Call
in the Maze of Daily Life
The School Sisters of St. Francis invite you to join us Wednesday Sept. 4 for “The Beatitudes: Living Christ’s Call in the Maze of Daily Life,” a prayer and concert series featuring the ecumenical prayer style of the brothers of Taize, France, a meditative service of readings, songs, silent reflection and prayers of intercession. This month’s theme is “Blessed are the single-hearted for they shall see God.”
The prayer service begins at 6:00 p.m., and this month it will be followed at 6:30 p.m. by a performance by renowned concert pianist Shanti Daya. It will be the dedicatory concert for the chapel’s recently-acquired 1896 Chickering grand piano.
Full details about this service and concert, and the story behind the piano, may be found in the attached news release. We encourage you to share this information, and/or the attached flyer, with members of your parish’s music ministry, and anyone else who you feel may be interested. We hope you can join us for what is sure to be a memorable evening in the life of our community.
