1145 W. Wisconsin Ave.

Rob McWilliam will present an early fall concert which will be unique to date among our regular monthly series of organ concerts at Gesu. Joining him on the program will be the Milwaukee Scottish Pipes and Drums Band, of which he is currently the Pipe Sergeant.

As the owner of Third Coast Productions, Rob composes original music pieces for documentaries and commercials, and for Midwest area music groups. His compositions reflect a mastery of diverse acoustic and synthesized musical instrumentation. One of his recent works was scoring the music for the Milwaukee Public Museum's 2012 special exhibit, Cleopatra: The Search for the Last Queen of Egypt.

Rob began the study of organ with Trudy Stillman of Milwaukee at an early age. He continued with formal studies in piano at UW-Milwaukee, and organ at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music. He was a music major with emphasis on organ at UW-Stevens Point. He is proficient in piano, pipe organ, upright bass, Chapman stick, Scottish bagpipes and electronic keyboards. In addition to his affiliation with the Milwaukee Scottish Pipes and Drums Band, he is also currently the Piper for the St. Andrew Society of Milwaukee, and he previously served as the Official Bagpiper for the High Commissioner of Clan Donald USA. He is also a member of the Milwaukee Chapter of the American Guild of Organists.
