Organ specification
The featured artist for this monthly organ concert will be Dr. Curt Sather, Director of Music and Organist for Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Menomonee Falls. After receiving his Bachelor of Music degree from Arizona State University, where he studied with Robert Clark, he continued his studies at the Eastman School of Music. There he earned both Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees, studying with the late Russell Saunders. He will be performing on Gesu's Schantz organ, which was inaugurated a year ago and has four manuals, 115 ranks and 6,804 pipes
Dr. Sather's career has included performances throughout the United States and abroad. After directing the music program at St. Barnabas on the Desert Episcopal Church in Scottsdale, AZ, Sather joined the Benedictine monastery of San Miniato al Monte Abbey in Florence, Italy, serving as organist for the historic basilica of the abbey, as well as for the Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore (also known as the Duomo) in Florence.
