The Pipe Organ Encounter Advanced (POEA)
is an event for students 9th–12th grade who have achieved a high level of success in organ study. Students have the opportunity to study with acclaimed faculty members in performance, accompaniment, and improvisation as well as participate in masterclasses, lectures, and performances.
The Pipe Organ Encounter Technical (POETech)
is a program for students aged 16-23 who are interested in learning the art and craft of organbuilding but who are not required to have studied the organ. Students may possess expertise or seek experience with woodworking, electrical or tuning skills, or construction. World-class organbuilders will lead the curriculum at the shop of the American Organ Institute at OU.
