Mary Utzerath, soprano
A member of Gesu’s choir for the past nine years, Mary is a voice student of Phillip Pearl at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music.  She has served as a part-time organist at several Catholic parishes for over twenty years.  While a student at St. Francis Seminary, from which she received a Master’s degree in Divinity, she was a cantor and member of the Schola.  Mary also holds an M.S. in Mathematics and a Ph.D. in Religious Studies from Marquette University, where she currently teaches both mathematics and theology.
 
·       Mary Levar, flute
Mary Levar has been a flutist at Gesu for many years. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Music and a Master of Library and Information Science degree, both from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. While at UWM, Mary studied flute with Robert Goodberg and conducting with Margery Deutsch and Thomas Dvorak. She was Assistant Conductor of the UWM University Community Orchestra and led the UWM Community Flute Choir. Mary also enjoys musical theater and plays in pit orchestras for community theater groups. Mary is an Administrator in Equity Capital Markets at Robert W. Baird & Co.
 
·       John Weissrock, organ
John has been the face of music ministry at Gesu for 34 years, first as the Director of Music Ministry, and now for the past two years as Principal Organist.  He began studying organ at the age of 10 and at the age of 16 he entered the Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music as an Organ Major and Piano Minor.  He studied under Wayne Fisher at the conservatory, with whom he had been studying since the age of 12.  During college, John held organist positions at five Cincinnati churches. Upon moving to Milwaukee he served first at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, and following that at St. John the Evangelist Cathedral before coming to Gesu.  He has presented many organ concerts in this country as well as concerts in France in 1988 and 1994, and he accompanied All Saints’ Catholic Church Choir to Rome as organist in 2006.
