Please join us for this Valentine’s Day concert that includes Cantata #159 by J.S. Bach, a touching scene between Jesus and Mary, his mother, before he leaves home to take his ministry to Jerusalem. This cantata includes one of the most beautiful baritone arias ever written by Bach.
Also on the program: a Mozart air transcribed for English Horn and Organ; a Priere for Cello and Organ; and the Bach c-minor Prelude & Fugue as interpreted for the historic Felgemaker Organ.
Refreshments and Musicians Reception follow the performance.
If you would like to sing (German) the concluding Choral of the cantata, please arrive by 3 pm and join us in the balcony. Score will be provided. Concert dress if possible.
