Organ Blockbusters
T. Jared Stellmacher, Director of Music at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, will present a fiery concert entitled “Organ Blockbusters” on Sunday, September 27 at 3:00pm.
Stellmacher began his ministry at Immanuel in May 2015 and directs all aspects of the reputable, diverse, and ever-growing music program. Prior to living in Wisconsin, Jared was Director of Music at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Hinsdale, IL and Organist with Chicago’s “Gargoyle Brass and Organ Ensemble.” Previous positions include Interim Director of Music at First Church Congregational UCC in Fairfield, CT, accompanist for the critically acclaimed 100+ voice Fairfield County Chorale, Assistant Organist at The Riverside Church in New City City, Choral Administrator at the Yale Institute of Sacred Music, and Assistant Director of Music at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Madison, WI. Jared has received many awards for his performance excellence, most notably first place in the American Guild of Organists Regional VI Competition for Young Organists, gold-level placement in the National Foundation for the Advancement in the Arts Competition, and a five time semi-consecutive performer at Overture Hall’s “Summer Farmers’ Market Concert Series” in Madison, WI. He received his MM from the Yale Institute of Sacred Music at Yale School of Music and BMus from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Music. This concert is free, open to the public, and is part of Immanuel’s ongoing “Music at Immanuel Concert Series.” Works by Bach, Fishell, Jongen, and Lefebure-Wely.
