Kick Off Labor Day Weekend with Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, and More

The School Sisters of St. Francis invite you to their acoustically renowned St. Joseph Chapel for a performance by The Philomusica String Quartet on Friday, August 29, at 7 p.m.

Made of up members of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, this dynamic ensemble will play their heart-stirring renditions of immortal works by Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, and Shostakovich.

As the resident string quartet of the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music, Philomusica is recognized for its compelling and distinctive programming. Let violinists Jeanyi Kim and Alexander Mandl; violist Nathan Hackett; and cellist Adrien Zitoun take you to new heights of musical appreciation with Mozart’s beloved Ave Verum Corpus, Haydn’s Opus 33, No. 2 (“The Joke”), Beethoven’s Opus 18, No. 2, and String Quartet No. 8 by Shostakovich.
