Clinician: Samuel Eatherton 

Samuel Eatherton is the Kantor at Trinity Lutheran Church and School in Sheboygan, Wisconsin where his duties include playing the organ, directing the choirs of the church, teaching school music, and planning worship services. From 2000 to 2020 Sam served as Minister of Music at Zion Lutheran Church and School in Dallas, Texas, and he and his wife Lois previously served at Trinity Lutheran Church and School in St. Joseph, Michigan.  Sam earned his Bachelor of Science in Education from Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska, and his Master of Church Music from Concordia University in River Forest, Illinois.  In 2019 he earned his Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Church Music from Baylor University in Waco, Texas. Sam has been honored with the Richard Hillert Award in Composition from Concordia University Chicago and was a finalist for the Outstanding Teacher of the Year Award from the Texas District Lutheran Educators Conference in 2009. In 2016 he received the designation as “Schalk Scholar” from the Center for Church Music located on the campus of Concordia University—Chicago. Sam has had several of his compositions published by Concordia Publishing House of St. Louis, Missouri, including four volumes of organ music. He studied organ with Gerre Hancock at the University of Texas—Austin and Charles Ore at Concordia University—Nebraska. He has most recently studied with Isabelle Demers at Baylor.

On-site in-person registration (cash, check, or credit card) will also be available.

Note: 
To mitigate the potential spread of COVID-19,
CDC guidelines (mask wearing, physical distancing, etc.) will be followed.  

Lunch: 
Bring your own or place an order for a box lunch at registration (approximately $13.00)

12:55—1:55 PM: Children’s Choir Workshop & Music Reading Session
2:05—3:05 PM: Handbell Workshop & Music Reading Session
