3 pm - Opera in the Aire, MacDowell Club of Milwaukee

The MacDowell Club of Milwaukee presents another of its popular opera concerts on Sunday afternoon, November 20^th, at the Steinway Piano Gallery, 11550 West North Avenue, in Wauwatosa.  Free and open to the public, it features arias sung by Kay Belich (West Allis);  Enid Bootzin Berkovits (Mequon);  Linda Ehlers (Milwaukee);  Carol Haywood (Brown Deer);  Judith Pilon (Wauwatosa);  Sally Lane Schwarz (Menomonee Falls);  Donna Shriner (Shorewood);  along with clarinetist Dan Roberdeau (Milwaukee) and violinist Joan Rooney (Port Washington), all performing members of the Club.

This year’s program is entitled “Arias and Aires” and includes works by Bizet, Gluck, Lehar, Nicolai and Torroba.   Accompanying are MacDowell Club  pianists Wallace Cheatham (Milwaukee);  Shanti Daya (Brookfield);  Suzanne Pajunen (Wauwatosa);  Geraldine Thien Stone (Wauwatosa);  Sr. Marion Verhaalen and guest Patty Clemens ((Milwaukee);Mequon).
