Milwaukee, WI – The MacDowell Club of Milwaukee begins its 105th season at 3:00 P.M., Sunday, October 19th, 2014, at the Steinway Gallery, 11550 W. North Avenue, Wauwatosa. This program will feature all music composed by performing members of the club.
Featured composers will be Wallace Cheatham (Milwaukee), Hildegarde Fischer (Colgate, WI), Suzanne Lent (Wauwatosa, WI), Dr. Abe Caceres (Milwaukee), Sr. Marion Verhaalen (Milwaukee). Performers on this concert will be soprano Cecilia Davis (Fox Point), pianist Carla Coonan (Bayside), mezzo Donna Shriner (Shorewood), soprano Sally Schwarz (Menomonee Falls), accompanist Suzanne Pajunen (Wauwatosa), Piano Duo Petry-Monroe (Milwaukee), oboist Judith Smeiska (Oconomowoc), flutist Ana de la Cuesta Gerlach (Milwaukee) and Robert Estlund (Wauwatosa).
